Staying Motivated – 3 Tips to Stay on Track With Your Fitness Goals
Spring has sprung and that means Summer is just around the corner. As Winter comes to an end motivation tends to wan. Try these tips to keep you motivated and get you ready for your Summer wardrobe.
- If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Sticking to your diet can feel tricky at times. You know what you need to eat and how much of each item you should eat but if you are not prepared it is very easy to grab something that is not on your diet, especially if you are away from home. Planning out your meals for the week is critical to sticking to your diet. Try cooking large quantities of food one to two days a week and pre-measuring and packaging the amounts you will need for each meal. If you have your food ready to go all you need to do is grab it as you head out the door. Having the food you need to stay true to your diet will help you avoid the temptation to eat food that is not on your diet during the week.
- The secret to getting ahead is getting started. Schedule your workouts into your daily plans. If you give them the same importance as any other activity you schedule into your day then you are more likely to incorporate physical activity in your life on a daily basis. Just remember that one hour of exercise is only 4% of your day.
- Imagine where you could be in three months, and then get back to work. Having a special occasion to attend or a new outfit you want to wear can motivate you to stick with your diet and exercise routine. Purchase that special outfit that you are going to wear and keep it in sight with your fitness goal in mind. Knowing that three short months of hard-work and dedication will have you looking your best will help keep you motivated and on track to reaching your fitness goals.
